P
rince died of Aids and had been preparing for his death "for a while," it has been reported.
The Purple Rain singer, a Jehovah's Witness, was diagnosed with the condition six months before his sudden death, according to the National Enquirer.
The singer "had been preparing to die for a while," and his weight had plummeted to just 80lbs, a source told the American tabloid.
He is also alleged to have refused medical treatment, saying "God can cure me," according to the National Enquirer's front page story on the affair.
"Doctors told Prince his blood count was unusually low and that his body temperature had dropped dangerously below the normal 98.6 degrees to 94 degrees," they said.
"He was totally iron-deficient, very weak and often disoriented. He rarely ate and when he did, it all came right back up.
"His face was yellowish, the skin on his neck was hanging off and the tips of fingers were a brownish-yellow," they added.
It was also reported that Prince was seen making runs to a local pharmacy shortly before his death to pick up treatment for what is believed to have been a painful and severe case of influenza.
“We were all just shocked that he came in last night looking so beat. We said, ‘We are praying for you," a source told the National Enquirer.
"He said, almost under his breath, ‘Maybe if you prayed for me a year ago it’d be different right now."
Then he waved and said thanks anyway," they added.
It comes as sources close to the investigation into the circumstances of Prince's death said he was in possession of prescription painkillers when he passed away.
According to CNN and the Star Tribune, the painkillers were found on Prince shortly after his death aged 57 at his home in Minneapolis.
The reports were based on anonymous police sources.
The National Enquirer has also claimed that Prince suffered from an addiction to Percoet, which he was using to try and dull his pain during the final stages of his life.
However, L. Londell McMillan, who knew Prince for 25 years and at once point worked as his manager denies this and insists the singer did not have addiction issues.
HIV is a virus which attacks the immune system and weakens the body's ability to fight diseases.
It is most commonly caught through unprotected sex, but can also be transmitted by sharing needles.
Though there is no cure, anti-viral drugs allow most sufferers who take them to live lengthy and healthy lives.
It can however develop into Aids, a more seriously and potentially fatal condition where the body is too weak to fight off infections.
The National Enquirer claims Prince was diagnosed with HIV back in the 1990s, but it developed into Aids at the end of last year.
A statement from Prince's family and friend's issued shortly after his death said it was caused by influenza, an illness which could prove fatal to an Aids sufferer due to their weakened immune defences.
Representatives for Prince are yet to respond to the allegations.
Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe was allegedly arrested by heavily armed policemen in Osogbo, Osun State. The arrest is said to have taken place on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Punch, some eyewitnesses said that the policemen fired their gun three times into the air before whisking the actress to an unknown place.
It was not clear why the police team arrested her, but it is said that the policemen were on a stop-and-search patrol when they saw a police cap on the dashboard of Mercy’s car. Another eyewitness says the police team was in search of ‘yahoo boys’ (fraudsters) and the look of a young man, who drove the actress also attracted their attention.
The altercation between her and the policemen attracted a crowd with some wanting to beat them up. The policemen called for reinforcement to prevent the crowd from attacking.
Here’s an eyewitness’ account:
“When the policemen got to the junction, they went to the parked car and ordered the driver to roll down the window of the car because it was tinted and they could not identify those in the car.
“Immediately the driver rolled down his window Mercy Aigbe rushed out of the car to confront the policemen. They eventually took her and the boy who drove away.”
The Acting Police Public Relations Officer in Osun State, Mr. Ajibade Egbedele, when contacted on the telephone said he had no information on the arrest. “There is no information on my table. I will find out and call you back.”

At 90, Asiata Onikoyi-Laguda is believed to be the oldest person with sickle cell disease in the world.
She was born in November 1925, the same year as Margaret Thatcher, first female British prime minister and Malcolm X, the African American civil rights activist. At that time, the average life expectancy of children born with sickle cell disorder was just five years, but she has defied the odds to live up to 90.
Due to the high level of illiteracy at the time of her birth, she was never diagnosed with sickle cell. She endured years of pain, which kept her away from school till she was 12 years old. Her pain was so severe and frequent that she would beg God to let her die.
After primary school, she enrolled at Queens College Lagos, where she met her husband Bolaji Alakija, who later became a doctor.
She did not know she had the sickle cell disease until after she had given birth to five of her six children. Her husband, Dr Alakija, gave her pills including folic acid to take every day, but kept the nature of her illness away from her for a long time.
Dr Alakija had 10 wives and 27 children, when he died, she married Alhaji Laguda, but she never had a child with her second husband.
She is the second of four children born from AbdulYekeen Ishola Onikoyi, a prince of the Onikoyi ruling house, and Aishat Alake Onikoyi from Kudeti, Ibadan.
In spite of her illness, she has outlived her parents, husbands and siblings except one.
According to SCD Journal, in spite of the disease:
– She is under no dietary restrictions whatsoever: eats salt, eggs, meat, sugar, fried food, etc as she likes
– Her blood pressure hovering around 160/90
– She has performed the holy pilgrimage to Mecca 13 times and Umrah half a dozen times
– She observed the annual 30-day Ramadhan fast until she was over 88 and pressured to discontinue by her children
– She reads Bible, Quran everyday with glasses but moves around without glasses
– She takes public transport in super-c,haotic Lagos
– She gave birth to six children, all by normal delivery. When only son passed away in August 2014 aged 59, she accepted the will of Allah but prayed, “Please let the rest of the children you gave me outlive me.”

Kiss Daniel is back at it again. This time he is out with the official video of his previously released single, “MAMA“. If you loved the song, when it dropped, you will love the video.
She’wa Konrin Funmi.. :). Check on it. Kiss Daniel Mama video. Enjoy.
Lil Kesh dropped an album recently, but the chief vibe around YBNL is all around Olamide’s ‘Who you epp’ freestyle.
Lil Kesh and Olamide are what you will refer to as benefactor and beneficiary. The former is a protégé of the latter, profiting from his financial and experiential magnanimity to create a thriving career path. From 2012, they both partnered, and together they have become influential players in the uber dynamic clime of the Nigerian music industry.
But now there’s a clash. And Olamide is winning.
Lil Kesh dropped his debut album “Y.A.G.I” in March 2016, and he is currently working on promoting the album. The LP contains features from Phyno, Adekunle Gold, and even Olamide, marking his first body of work ever in his career. With an album out of the way, the popular opinion is that under the leadership of Baddo, YBNL would aggressively push the project, thereby generating record sales and many more.
But that isn’t the case. Less than a month later, Olamide has released 2016’s most viral song ‘Who you epp’.
The rapper has been at the top of Nigerian rap via the quality of his content, and the marketing of his sounds, from owning the gunman pose for his “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth”, album art, to his simple, yet expressive dance step for ‘Bobo’, king Baddo has kept up his profile. ‘Who you epp’ took a simple, yet different route. The rapper’s single comes with a free 16 bars of instrumental, with no vocals laced in it. Olamide put that deliberately, and via social media, announced a competition for people to bring on their most creative 16-bars to fill that space. First came the celebrity rappers who took the gauntlet, and dropped their golden flow. Ruggedman, Phyno, Lil Kesh and many others are proud fillers of ‘Who you epp’.
But the competition really became a hit with lesser known rappers and singers. There have been works from Slay, Bils, MVP, Pepenazi, Gunzoe, Ms Chief, Ozee, Lypsi, Viktoh, Subzilla, Lowbeek, Ckay, Pryse, and a host of others. This has created a long list of ‘Who you epp’ songs flooding the internet, and offering new versions and extended enjoyment to fans.
Right now, currently, Olamide’s single is one of the top singles on iTunes Nigeria, with no single from Lil Kesh playing at that level. There’s also no video to support the marketing of the album, as the conversations around Nigerian music have moved from “Y.A.G.I” to ‘Who you epp”. The album is currently still on the streets, but support for it has all but died online.
Olamide has always epp Lil Kesh. But at the moment his new single hasn’t just failed to epp him, it has become toxic to his album.

Popular Dallas food reporter Stacy Fawcett has died, PEOPLE confirms.
In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, the Plano Police Department confirmed that Fawcett, 45, and her son Josiah Utu, 17, both suffered fatal stab wounds early Friday when Fawcett's eldest son 19-year-old McCann Utu Jr. attacked the pair before stabbing himself.
After the incident, a male suspect contacted police, telling the 911 operator that he had committed murder. Officers were then dispatched to the home in Plano, Texas – a suburb 20 miles north of Dallas – where they "made entry into the residence and discovered a deceased adult male and adult female along with another adult male who was alive with multiple stab wounds."
The suspect, McCann Utu Jr., was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.
Although authorities could not confirm it, Justin Fawcett – Stacy's brother – said that his nephew had been different since suffering a traumatic brain injury over a year ago, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Since the mother and sons' deaths, a GoFundMe account has been set up to help fund the memorial services for the entire family. Any excess funds will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank in Fawcett's memory. The account has already raised $7,711 of its $10,00 goal.
Fawcett's Facebook page has also been turned into a memoriam account.

On Friday, students gathered around a makeshift memorial at Plano West High School where Josiah was a junior. Jobin Panicker, a reporter at WFAA Channel 8 in Dallas where Fawcett was a regular contributor, shared pictures from the school's campus, in which hundreds of students paid their respects.
Panicker later shared more photos of the community at Parkway Hills Baptists Church where students and community members came together again in mourning for the family.
NEW YORK (AP) — N.W.A. triumphantly entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Friday, the groundbreaking quintet that brought the rough streets of Los Angeles into homes through their music defiantly refuting those who suggested rappers didn’t belong in the institution.
They joined the rock hall in a ceremony at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center with 1970s-era rock acts Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple and Steve Miller.
N.W.A.’s rough-hewn tales tilted the balance toward West Coast rap in the late 1980s on songs like “F— the Police,” “Boyz-N-The Hood” and “Straight Outta Compton.” Following the act’s breakup, Dr. Dre became one of music’s most in-demand producers and a billionaire with a high-tech headphone company. Ice Cube moves between music and a successful acting career.
For all the success, some traditional rockers have resisted the inclusion of rap acts into the hall, most prominent Kiss’ Gene Simmons, whose band was inducted last year.
“I want to say to Gene Simmons, hip-hop is here forever,” said MC Ren. “Get used to it.”
Rock ‘n’ roll is not just a musical style but a spirit that connects people, be they bluesmen or punk rockers, Ice Cube said.
“Rock 'n’ roll is not conforming to the people who came before you but creating your own path in music and in life,” Ice Cube said. “That is rock 'n’ roll and that is us.”
Ice Cube turned to Dr. Dre, thanking him for letting him hang around and make music with him as a 15-year-year old boy. Then he caught himself: “Stay in school, kids, God damn it,” he said to the audience’s laughter.
Named for one of N.W.A.’s best-known songs, the movie “Straight Outta Compton” told the band’s story and was one of the biggest box office winners of 2015.
They were inducted by one of music’s hottest artists, Kendrick Lamar, who said N.W.A. members were heroes to kids like him growing up. They “proved to every kid in the ghetto that you could be successful and still have your voice while doing it.”
The act announced just before the event that they would not perform at the rock hall event.
Chicago was known for a brassy, jazz-rock fusion in its early days and settled into a comfortable career penning pop hits. Among their favorites were “Saturday in the Park,” “25 or 6 to 4,” “If You Leave Me Now” and “Does Anyone Really Know What Time it Is?”
Singer Rob Thomas, while inducting Chicago, indicated that Chicago was tougher and more innovative than people had given them credit for.
“If you think Chicago was your mom’s band, man I want to party with your mom,” Thomas said.
Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich described seeing the night’s first inductees, Deep Purple, when he was nine years old and taken to their concert in Copenhagen. He said it changed his life.
“Almost without exception, every hard rock band of the last 40 years — including mine — traces its lineage back to Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple,” Ulrich said. “They are always considered equal. In my heart, I am bewildered that they are so late in getting into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.”
The band was without one of its founding members, guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, who stayed away because current members wouldn’t agree to play with him. But the inductees regarded him warmly in their speeches and paid tribute musically — performing “Smoke on the Water” with the signature riff that the guitarist came up with.
Ulrich called it the guitar riff “that has actually been banned from playing in music stores to preserve the sanity of the staff.”
Steve Miller and his band played his crowd-pleasing hits “Fly Like and Eagle,” “Rock 'n’ Me Baby” and “The Joker” to an audience of fellow musicians and industry professionals sitting at tables at the Barclays Center and ticket-buying members of the public in the surrounding stands.
“If you listened to the radio, you listened to Steve Miller,” said the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, who inducted Miller with his partner Patrick Carney. He cited Miller’s run of hits that also included “Jet
